Match Report | Fielding a slightly changed side from their friendly, Wilts knew today was to be no walkover! Devizes, having gained promotion last season were certainly out for their first points in East. A fair amount of defending was followed by an appeal for a goal, which hadn't been touched in the D by the attack gave Wilts a small reprieve... A third attempt at a penalty corner, gave Devizes their first goal, followed by a well worked tap in on overload on the left post notched up their second. Wilts held their own for the remainder of the match, but with several saves from Tam in goal, and further frantic defending limited the damage. The second half saw Devizes come out strong again, and scored another from a penalty corner. Their next came from open play, a fine shot finding the smallest space in the corner of the goal . Their fifth was a tap in on overload, against a tired Wilts team
