Match Report | Wilts hosted Devises A and aimed to get back to winning ways and return to the top of the table. Fired up from the defeat last week Wilts started hard and fast. They controlled the ball for most of the game and managed to create a decent number of chances for themselves in the Devises ‘D’. Devises fought valiantly but were unable to penetrate the Wilts solidi defence - the keeper didn’t touch the ball all game! Wilts can thank Chris Warren at centre back for controlling the structure of the team, and Hugh Newmarch out wide for his man of the match performance. Ultimately Wilts were just too much to handle and scored their eight through James Baker (4), Toby Dorgan (2), Ben Lemon (1) and Joe Veacock (1). Tomorrow Wilts played their rearranged game vs Wooten Basset and hope to secure another 3 points against them. |
