West Wilts Boys U16's, Round One EH Cup Competition.
Sunday 4th October 2009, Kingdown School.

Following a well matched two all draw at full time, West Wilts U16's lost to Yate on penalty flicks.
The team had a shaky start, going one nil down in the first few minutes of the match.  Yate attacked strongly down the right, to achieve their first goal.

West Wilts, began to control the centre of the field with Owain and Edward working the ball up to forwards Lynton, Matt and Jordan, which eventually was rewarded by a goal from Matt.

Yate replied by scoring from a penalty corner, struck firmly into the goal, deflected by the goalie Jordan.

Wilts again upped the pressure and again Matt converted a great pass from Edward.
Jack and Jack worked hard to thwart continued pressure from Yate, and Rob kept kept a clean sheet in defence in the latter part of the match.

Despite several attempts of shorts from Callum, Ollie and Dean, Wilts were unable to get another goal to put them ahead.

The Yate goalie played outstandingly in the last ten minutes, saving many shots from the team.

Edward was voted man of the match.  The team now go into the plate competition.
