Members of West Wilts Hockey Club have proudly completed the Movember challenge, raising an impressive&nbsp;£288&nbsp;in support of men’s health initiatives. Throughout November, members of the club embraced the spirit of Movember by growing moustaches and spreading awareness about critical issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health.Movember is more than just a fundraising campaign—it’s a movement dedicated to changing the face of men’s health. By taking part, West Wilts Hockey Club has contributed to vital programs that help men live happier, healthier, and longer lives.The club would like to thank everyone who donated and supported the cause. West Wilts Juniors Giving a Trolley Load of Cheer

The Christmas sprit was in full swing at our recent juniors and minis session, where players came together to support the local community. In addition to festive cheer the juniors and minis brought pasta, tins of soup and cereal, filling an entire shopping trolley with donations for Warminster Food Bank.

This initiative was part of West Wilts commitment to making our hockey club more than just the game. By linking a fun festive training session with a community cause our youngest members showed that their teamwork extends beyond the pitch. Their collective efforts will help families across Warminster who are facing hardship this winter, ensuring cupboards are stocked during Christmas.&nbsp;

Amanda, our club Chairmen, praised the juniors and minis for their enthusiasm and how they embraced giving back to the community.&nbsp;

The juniors and minis may have come to the session for hockey, but they left scoring the bigger goal of helping others.&nbsp;

Hockey Clubs Observe Remembrance Day with Minute's Silence Across Saturday Fixtures

West Wilts HC joined other clubs across the region in reflection on Saturday as players, coaches and supporters observed a minutes silence ahead of their fixtures to mark Remembrance Day.

Club Captain Chris Warren said " When we stand together in silence before a match, we are not just honouring those who served, we're acknowledging the legacy they left behind. At West Wilts Hockey Club, we have players from military families and a strong connection to the military so that minute silence is particularly powerful. It reminds us of our shared values and grounds us in some thing bigger than the game. We talk a lot about teamwork, resilience and courage in our sport. Remembrance Day reminds us of those values, where they come from and why they matter"

Remembrance Day continues to hold a significant place in the sporting calendar with our hockey club uniting with our opposition to foster reflection and solidarity, reminding us the freedoms of today are built on the sacrifices of yesterday.&nbsp;

This November West Wilts Hockey Club is raising funds and awareness for men's health, our members are embracing the moustaches and the mission behind it.

West Wilts Hockey Club has announced a new sponsorship agreement with The Cock Inn, Warminster making a significant step in strengthening local partnerships and enhancing the clubs community presence.&nbsp;

The Cock Inn's logo will feature pride of place on the club's new playing tops, set to launch later this season. The pub will also be hosting all match teas providing players and opposition with hearty lunches and a welcoming post match venue.&nbsp;

Saturday 6th September marked a vibrant restart for West Wilts Hockey Club, as players of all ages and abilities returned to the pitch after the summer break. Club Day brought together long standing members, fresh faces and those rediscovering their love for the game.&nbsp;

From our youngest minis to our seasoned veterans, the day was a celebration of what makes West Wilts special, community, community and cohesion. A special shout out goes to our men's first team captain Cameron Jessop who supplied the half time bacon rolls and chairman Amanda Robson who organised the friendly fixtures throughout the day.

With league fixtures, social event and development sessions ahead, there has never been a better time to get involved. Whether you are looking to play, coach or simply be a part of something, West Wilts is ready to welcome you.&nbsp;

This season membership fees and weekly subs have increased slightly, in line with changes introduced by England Hockey to support the sport’s long-term sustainability. These national updates do mean higher affiliation costs for clubs like ours and we have adjusted our fees accordingly to remain compliant whilst remaining proportionate.
